CODING — IMAGINARY (CODING NATURE ENCOUNTERS)
part 5.1
Aim:
To create an abstract 3D object, you and your group can use a 3D software such as Blender or similar to create one or more 3D objects to work with. Abstract forms here must be derived from the overarching them Nature Encounters.

We had the opportunity to explore coding using augmented reality (AR), crafting 3D objects with Blender, and then uploading them into a coding platform (VS) to showcase our nature-inspired shapes. It proved to be both challenging and exhilarating. Initially, our group harbored ambitious plans, conceiving a coral-themed concept aimed at illustrating the impact of pollution on marine ecosystems. Our goal was to depict the stark reality of decaying corals, once vibrant and thriving, now hollow and unrecognizable.

Name: Corallium Putrescens
The scientific name for decaying coral reefs could be "Corallium putrescens." "Corallium" is derived from the Latin word for coral, while "putrescens" is Latin for decaying or decomposing. This name reflects the deteriorating state of these once vibrant ecosystems and emphasizes the urgency of addressing coral reef degradation.
Inspiration
Blender Process
Navigating Blender for the first time, we encountered a learning curve, spending considerable time acquainting ourselves with the tools and overcoming various obstacles along the way. Despite the initial struggles, we persevered and ultimately refined our shapes for presentation. The process of coding and witnessing our creations come to life was incredibly insightful. We meticulously edited lines of code, meticulously scrutinizing the details of file names and alterations required to achieve functionality. It proved to be a remarkably enjoyable experience, one that provided valuable lessons and a sense of achievement.
